THE LEAF PROJECT

 The Leaf Project is a series of images created after a short stint in Dubai 2004 and exhibited locally at The 5 Green Gallery. I was invited to perform a VJ set at the Syriana film wrap party which then led to a commercial commission for the BMW cabriolet launch. The insane changes to Dubai's landscape were happening at a rate unseen since the urbanisation of the Las Vegas desert, as a focal point it's alluring yet there is something darkly disturbing with the grandiose outcome. The Leaf Project was an attempt to question the validity of the Emirates artificial islands on the coastline or it was simply some fake guerrilla gardening on an ersatz landscape.Wooster Collective
