In the meanwhile is an exhibition of new photographic work by a collective of assistants, photographers and aspirational image makers.Eva Kostelidou’s practice involves searching land and cityscapes for moments that cause her to photograph a scene. Such moments often involve feelings of déjàvu or nostalgia: instances where and when past experiences take on a life in the present whilst slowing it down.Graininess, under exposure, intimate scale, repetition of motifs and a relinquishing of control are techniques Kostelidou has incorporated into her practice to create dislocation in her photographs reception. This offers a secondary slowing of the present that reflects the first.Kostelidou is a London based photographer who completed her studies at Stereosis, Thessaloniki, Greece.
