Taking a no nonsense attitude towards the month of romance, mulletover preset February’s underground revelry with their ‘Anti-valentines’ party. With another sterling line-up, it promises to offer a night of fun, frivolity and strictly no heavy petting.Leading the way is London based Luke Solomon, who is undeniably one of British house music's unsung heroes with an impressive track record of underground success. From setting up seminal labels Classic and Music For Freaks, to taking quirky house to the UK Top 10 and international charts with his band Freaks, he has been there for many of the more interesting underground moments of the last decade. Luke has recently re-emerged onto the scene after his 2 year hiatus following the success of the “The Creeps” with Freaks, launching their next episode with a compilation of past, present and future material on ‘Best Of Times’. As a solo artist he has had releases on a variety of labels including the very respected Crosstown Rebels, Rekids and Playhouse.Upstart Detroit DJ Ryan Elliott has gained notoriety over the past few years by programming sets that are as well crafted and sophisticated, as they are danceable. From ice-cold minimal techno to summery house beats, Elliott has played everything from Fabric to the Guggenheim with equal success. As a DJ, Ryan is adept in the late night hours, finding the balance between heavy floor tracks and elegant crowd-pleasers. In the early throws of his career, Elliott was resident at Detroit’s weekly Untitled alongside early scene heavyweights Matt Dear, Tadd Mullinix, Mike Servito, and Derek Plaslaiko. The ensuing years have found Elliott globetrotting at a rapid rate and finding a comfortable home on Matthew Dear’s notorious Spectral Sound label, who he has a compilation due out in April this year and now holds a key A&R role.Welsh boy Tom Demac will be making his mulletover debut. Tom has developed his own characteristic sound based on a philosophy of creating music aimed at the dance-floor, but melodic enough to appreciate at home in the living room. The young talent began releasing productions on labels Four:Twenty and Hypercolour and was spotted by Geddes during the early stages of his career, leading to Demac penning various high profile releases for Geddes’ own murmur label.Geddes completes the line-up with his distinctly deep and appealing signature sound. His productions and own murmur label persist in gathering new audiences, continually gaining intensity and individuality and leading us into a bright and exciting new era of definitive dance music.
