**Location Revealed**The Basement,12 - 18 Hoxton Street,London N1 6NGFriday30 Apr 201011pm - 6amAfter selling out our last few parties at the Brickhouse and with another long weekend looming, we have decided to step out of our Brick Lane home, and step it up with a venue and line up worthy of the Bank Holiday and official start to the summer party season. Decked in full production, we have tailored our secret warehouse with two of the most forward thinking artists on the scene, Canadian techno innovator and Cynosure label head, Mike Shannon, and representing the fresh new sound of Fachwerk Records, Roman Lindau, who will be making his UK debut.MIKE SHANNONOver the past decade, Montreal hailing Mike Shannon has gone from being hotly tipped to international heavyweight, rapidly establishing himself as one of the most respected and dance floor curdling techno DJs and producers. With 2010 marking the 10th anniversary of Cynosure, Mike has been widely celebrated for raising the profile of Canada's electronic music scene, either as the creative driving force behind the world renowned Mutek festival, or through his own Cynosure imprint whose brave and uncompromising selection has provided the launch pad for many of his home country's leading artists from Akufen and Deadbeat to Adam Marshall and Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts. With a volley of timeless singles and remixes, and 3 long players, the most recent and critically acclaimed Memory Tree, being released for that other Canadian export, Richie Hawtin's Plus 8, Mike's productions are full of swing and ass shaking funk, proving there's plenty of life in minimal house and techno when done right.http://www.myspace.com/cynrecordingsROMAN LINDAUAdmist the deep house resurgence and in a sea of indistinguishable tech house, true techno heads have been starved of real insipiration, counting on the ever reliable Motor City pioneers and current Berghain masters for their electronic fix. A real shot in the arm has recently emerged in the shape of Fachwerk Records. Established by Mike Dehnert in 2008, it has been flourishing in the Berlin underground churning out a succession of immaculately crafted singles. Fachwerk's brand of stripped down techno, though Detroit inspired and refined with German chords, remains club fresh and has been much championed by those in the know, with showcases and residencies at the likes of Tresor, Berghain and Panorama Bar. International notoriety is inevitable and so with great excitement we welcome the UK debut of one of their chief exponents and our second guest, Roman Lindau
