Here we are again with another Toi Toi and man we are very pleased to welcome these masters of electronic music, each with a different musical influence to bring you a very diverse night!! Hope you can join us in this musical experience!!LEE FOSSLee Foss is a Los Angeles and London based dj and producer, whose rapid rise through the dj ranks in 2009 and critically lauded production work are making him a name to truly watch for 2010. After a move from his longtime home base of Chicago, Lee became a vital part of L.A.’s vibrant and rapidly mutating techno scene, and quickly became one of Americas most in demand djs.WHY DID WE CHOOSE HIM? : Lee is known to us Londoners quite well, even if at Kubicle parties or big festivals around the world. He certainly stands out for his productions, the ones released and the ones he throws spontaneously during his sets and blow you away and when you ask the typical question: Whose is that? And you can be sure the answer will come as it is his own. The analog richness on his productions certainly pleases our ears, he takes you on a trip waking up not knowing if you are on a beach in L.A. or in a warehouse in London, confusing yeah? Well, that's Lee!!http://soundcloud.com/r_co/lee-foss-keep-it-deep-underground-london-kubile-mix-march-2010JAN KRUEGERAs Resident Advisor points out in a recent interview with Jan Krueger, it's extremely difficult to make a name for yourself on the international DJing circuit without also being a producer. Hello?Repeat boss Jan Krueger is one of the few that has successfully proven otherwise. His passion for house and techno music began in the early '90s when he was still living in his birthplace of Düsseldorf, and as the decade progressed he found himself more and more immersed in the scene, working in a local record shop while hosting the likes of Daniel Bell, Matthew Herbert and Steve Bug at his parties. It was around this time that he met prolific producer Marcus Manowski, AKA Daze Maxim, with the pair collaborating on a set of minimal house tracks that would become Krueger's sole released material and to start the Hello?Repeat label alongside Manowski.Krueger has recently moved to Berlin in order to focus on the label and his DJing career, already holding residencies at the city's Watergate club as well as at NYC techno institution The Bunker. Jan is known as an afterhours specialist, and this is exactly the style he's gone for on this week's RA podcast, working a slinky and hypnotic minimal house groove over the course of ninety minutes.WHY DID WE CHOOSE HIM? : Well, Jan's podcast on RA mentioned above is a masterpiece and if you have not yet listened to it then do it. He is known for his impeccable Djing skills, for doing 17hrs sets at Club Der Visonaire alongside Daze Maxim or on Hello?Repeat label showcases with Bruno Pronsato. For us, he is a real STAR without being a star if you know what we mean!! Thats why we are proud to have him even more.Fresh, from July: http://soundcloud.com/user4851710/14-07-10-jan-krueger-cdvJOZIFLike many aspiring DJ's, early gigs taught jozif the humble art of playing to the smallest clubs, but also the attitude that an atmosphere is only what you make it. The belief that a good DJ plays to the best of their ability wherever they find themselves helped shape this consistent and captivating musician, who now rocks some our the most popular dance floors. His intense blend of juddering tech house and rich minimal grooves, have earned jozif gigs at benchmark clubs such fabric & We Love....@SpaceIbiza.WHY DID WE CHOOSE HIM? : Again, an artist also known to us Londoners, all of the above description and an amazingly charismatic person and an artist in its true sense. His productions such as Coca Grande and We Are Child are murky and hypnotic, and demonstrate a natural aptitude for innovative and captivating dance music. Jozif's upbringing was deeply influenced by the exposure to valuable musical knowledge, with a father who was a drummer in a 60's band and The Beatles producer.Photos
