Toi Toi presents...

Chris Lattner, BLM, Soho, Mark Chambers, Claus Voigtmann.Friday24 Sep 201011:30pm - 6:00amHoxton BasementHi there, it is us again wanting to share music with you!! ....another Toi Toi.... we are very pleased to welcome Mr. Chris Lattner (Moonharbour / Fear of Flying) flying in from Berlin to bring you a very diverse night alongside a very talented bunch from London's new breed of quality producers.CHRIS LATTNER (Moonharbour / Fear of Flying)Chris Lattner has a career which goes back 20 years, do we need to say more? His dedication to music is of an impressive scale. In spite of that Chris is one of the nicest and humblest individuals we know, caring and giving and adorably THAT german, precise and agile, a perfectionist, that certainly explains his music career success! For this Toi Toi's edition we have asked Chris to write all of us a little note, here it goes:"I am really happy that you invited me and that you want me to share my music with you.London is the spot to be in house music for me at the moment. Everytime I playhere I feel the old vibe when we made our first house parties. All about music….And thats what I will bring you on the 24th of September … pure fun with decent house music….not more and not less!!!!Looking forward to see you all and thank you for your support, here is little something for you to listen to prior to the event, enjoy it !! "Chris LattnerBLM (FEAR OF FLYING / SUDDEN DROP)Why did we choose him?Young Ben Micklewright is a very quiet person but if you listen to his productions you could never say that, he has a very mature signature sound with a complexity that is far from shy! Co-founder of Fear of Flying Ben has already acquired recognition from masters in the electronic music industry, the lead on the label brings a conceptual take on musical and cultural knowledge. The latest release on the label brings nobody less than the old-school legend Schatrax on a re-release of 'Champagne Dancer' from 1998.SOHO (PHONICA / KAILASH)Why did we choose him?In spite of being a very good friend and fellow restless worker for the London underground scene, SOHO is a walking encyclopedia of quality house music. Working at London's renowned record store PHONICA he always has his hands on very well selected dancefloor bombs. We chose him because we have seen him playing a dozen times and he delivers amazing sets nonstop within his very distinctive style. Playing vinyl ONLY makes him certainly stand out in this digital times.MARK CHAMBERS (LEFTROOM / SERIALISM)Why did we choose him?Having experiences Mark's several sets around London we can say that the music he plays is of very strong and capturing elements which surrounds a dance floor grabbing people with the ability to tell a story from beginning to end. Production wise Mark has successfully released on Leftroom and now has just joined Cesare vs Disorder's family on Serialism.CLAUS VOIGTMANN (TOI TOI MUSIK RESIDENT)Claus is spinning his way through London's most respected clubs/parties and with his very own attitude towards a relentless research and passion towards new music knowledge he is working on his very own style.See you all on the dancefloor! Thanks for the support.Isis and Claus.
