Saturday13 Oct 201210:00 pm - 6:00amHoxton BasementMelt Music is getting old! One year old to be precise. And in time honoured fashion we’re throwing a serious rave to celebrate! Boys and girls, you are most cordially invited to Melt’s very first birthday. The night has steadily been upping its game for a while now and to thank you for all the love and support that you’ve shown us over the course of this past year, we’re determined to gift to you our best party yet. Such an occasion inevitably calls for some top-notch DJ talent so how about you make some noise for Efdemin and DJ Qu!Since Melt’s inception way back now in 2011, we’ve been hankering after DJ Qu so needless to say we’re chuffed to bits to finally secure him. The fact it’s on our birthday is just an added bonus! Those of you who were lucky enough to catch him rocking room 3 at Fabric in May – where he exclusively revealed he’s already excited to be playing for us - will know that this man means real house music business. It’ll be one of only a handful of dates he plays here in the UK this year so don’t be missing out!Artists hailing from Berlin have done so much to contribute to the Melt vibe during this past year. Virginia, Nick Hoeppner and Tama Sumo to name but a few, these acts have given us such times! And in the interest of keeping that Teutonic vibe alive, we’ll be flying in Panorama Bar big-wig Efdemin, to head up proceedings on the night. If his Boiler Room mix is any kind of sign of what’s to be inflicted upon our killer funktion 1 soundsystem, boy are we set for a wild ride.Quite frankly, we can't bloody wait for this. Rest assured as ever our focus is firmly on the music but you can expect plenty of birthday themed fun and games on the night. We must stress that this is an all ticket affair ladies and gents, and with the first release having sold out nearly 3 months ahead of curtains up, we suggest you do the decent thing and bag yourself a ticket early doors and come join the party!
