Prins Thomas ( Live At Robert Johnson, Kompakt ), Dean Marc & Irene Gia ( Keep on Going & Soft Porn ) , Nikos ( Krush London ), Mikolai ( Picknik Records).Saturday9 Mar 201310pm till 6amHoxton BasementWe are two years old… we are two years old… we are two years old!!!We just can't get enough. It's our second birthday in March and our excitement has gone through the roof. And for this purpose we're prepping a very very special do, somewhere, in the depths of east London. We have had numerous memorable moments with you the last two years and we want to pay you back for that.First off, our ticket policy for the first parties this year is very strict. Affordable prices for to see excellent djs. I think we can all agree on this.Secondly, we invited two figures for whom we have great respect. Those are:🎼 PRINS THOMASThe Disco legend from Norway, the Full Pupp boss and long-term Lindstrom partner in crime, Mr Prins Thomas is well known to all space disco fanatics as the initiators if the, so called, nu disco movement. With a well structured resume, Prins Thomas has reached great understanding of electronic music, before he actually stepped up to produce his own music. We find it hard some time to pronounce the titles of his songs, as our knowledge of the Norwegian language is very very limited but one thing we know for sure is that Prins Thomas' music speaks for itself, without fanfare, loud titles and boundaries. In fact it came as no surprise when we saw the techno godfather that Sven Vath is pulling out a Prins Thomas records, at the Fly Bermuda after party. Crossing boundaries, pushing those limits and making futuristic music with retro elements. That takes serious talent🎼 FAIRMONTFairmont is one of those musicians that never strayed from the path of quality. He made his debut with a hit record on Border Community (Gazebo / Gazelle… rings a bell?) but his history stretches a few more years in the past. Also known under his real name, Jake Fairley, and his pristine techno sounds on Sender Berlin (at a time when Sender was an It label), Fairmont came up with this alias so he could focus more on a softer, mellower, more electrified, even poppy at times sound. Fairmont is a perfectionist. Fairmont is a musician. His live show reflects that. Just you wait and you'll see🎼 NIKOSOf course this wouldn't have been a Krush party without our very own Nikos on the decks🎼 MIKOLAIThe latest addition to the line up is the up and coming Mikolai who's already stirred the waters with his sexual Quality EP on Picknick records and has attracted the likes of Varoslav, Charles Webster, DJ Terry, Livio & Roby, Alex Flitsch, Alex Flatner, Nicole Moudaber. Expect a slower, more sensual house and disco extravaganza.
